CXMB Tutorial

CXMB is a plugin that was made so you don't risk bricking, making your PSP unusable, while using a different theme.

The way to brick a PSP is to corrupt a file in flash0, such as paf.prx or an RCO file. With CXMB, the majority of the theme is loaded from the Memory Stick, so you barely need to mess with flash0, just PAF.prx and vshmenu.prx, and the font.

In the video I mention booting into Recovery Mode. In order to do this, you need to hold R while turning on your PSP.

Also, if you already have a vsh.txt, put the line of code under any other code that you have. IF YOU REPLACE IT, YOU'LL LOSE ACCESS TO ALL OTHER PLUGINS!!!

I have the regular PSP XMB that is already installed on the PSP, and 3.71 M33-2, is there any possibility that I could brick my PSP by doing this tutorial?

Unless the paf.prx or vshmenu.prx of the theme is screwed up, this should not brick your PSP.

hey, um i saw on videos that you can customize your own cxmb theme.. by the cxmb folder in the root of the memstick.. am i right and how do you do this.

Do you have the Applecore installed in the flash? If you do, it will screw up completely.
