He was vindicated and is thought of as heroic to the people of Cleveland who would be a lot worse off if he has sold it.
That's one thing Dennis does NOT do, and that is:

Kucinich ended up being right and people realized that YEARS LATER. Just like Iraq.

In fact, in 1993, then-Cleveland Mayor Michael White cited Kucinich's "wisdom" in not selling the utility. In 1998 the council honored him for having the "courage and foresight" to stand up to the banks and saving the city an estimated $195 million between 1985 and 1995.

Our focus on money is what got us into this mess called America Today. If hemp were legal back then, which he supports, that tax revenue would have put a surplus into the city's coffers.
Be smart. Global warming, economy based on greed, war as an option to solve problems, we've got real issues to deal with. Not a dollar based on a confidence game. Time for real wealth for all. Kucinich '08.
