Greg...check out our absolutely loaded 2009 GMC Yukon Denali with the DVD entertainment, navigation, power folding middle buckets, power sunroof, and more!
I used to be in the boating business and left in 2001. The 6.2L V8 engine had been out for 2 or 3 years at that point. So yes..the engine has been well proven in the last 10 years. We have found the large SUV's to be very reliable.
Absolutly incorrect. This engine (the L92)was introduced in 2007. It was introduced in Denalis and Escalades, but is now avalible in the higher trim regular trucks. Higher HP output variations that arrived later include the LS3, L99, LS9, and LSA. These are found in everything from camaros, corvettes, to CTS-Vs and G8s.
Likely the engine he is talking about pulling his boat with is the 6.0L (LQ4 or LQ9).
Thank you for your information. As I stated, I was in the powerboat business. The 320hp 6.2MX V8 was coupled with Mercruiser sterndrive 10 years ago. So it is a well proven engine design.
All aluminum, high flow heads, Variable valve timing on intake and exhaust, higher compression ratio, diffrent stroke, they don't share any internals and its almost a hundred horse more, hardly the same engine wouldn't you agree?
True, this engine has been adapted for use in trucks, SUV's, and cars fairly recently. In one form or another, it has been in production for quite some time.
is this car reliable?will it have any problems if i drove it for more than 100000km?
