  • Do you as a tuner like working with the Utec? My sti has a Utec in it, i'm debating taking it out and just getting opensource tuning done because my tuner doesn't like it. I hate to waste it though, it seems like a bit more power could be made using it.

  • @elemento1991

I'm not a big fan of the UTEC. It was a good solution before opensource got as advanced as it is. You can make the same power on the stock ecu as you can with the UTEC and have better drivability than the UTEC. The UTEC doesn't allow changes to the AVCS (intake cam advance) or the drive by wire systems. I tune the occasional UTEC on Subaru and Nissan, but I agree with your tuner. The interface is ancient on the UTEC too. There's a reason TurboXS stopped making them.

  • deff. a dynojet im running Dom3.0 wth DW850s and made 380/376 @21psi on 93 octane. Have you been to the track yet?

  • I've tuned several Dom3's lately on this dyno that made over 410whp on 91. My Dom4XTR wagon on E85 makes 561whp. The kid that owns the car in the video wrecked it not long after the tune then his parents made him trade it in.

  • Accidentally removed your question but I'm running the Exedy twin disk.

  • When does your boost kick in with the fmic because I'm interested in building a setup similar to this if it's gonna give me those #'s on just 91 octane, but I'm also concerned on how responsive it will be if I switch to fmic.

  • ~3700-3800 rpm.

  • this a v6 ?

  • yeah i got tuned on a mustang dyno at cobb plano. Im getting tuned on E85 on the 6th so im hoping to break the 400 mark

  • do it daily driving doesn't feel any different from stage 2.

  • That's only about 200-400 higher than what I'm boosting with stage 2. I think that's worth paying the extra money for an fmic. For the higher hp/tq out put you're really not sacrificing a whole lot.
