Larry Wessels, director of Christian Answers of Austin, Texas/ Christian Debater (YouTube channel CANSWERSTV; websites: BIBLEQUERY.ORG, HISTORYCART.COM & MUSLIMHOPE.COM) reviews a theological debate between Rob Zins, ThM of Dallas Theological Seminary & director of "A Christian Witness to Roman Catholicism" (website: CWRC-RZ.ORG) & Monsignor Ed Jordan, official representative of the Diocese of Austin, Texas. The Roman Catholic "Gospel" versus the Biblical one is exposed in this debate for all to see. The entire debate can be seen on YOUTUBE; search "Theological Debate with a Roman Catholic Monsignor #1: Anything Goes Faith?" in the YOUTUBE search box. Catholic traditions and inventions supercede the authority of the Bible creating a different gospel than the one presented in scripture. Galatians 1:6-9 curses those who believe in a different gospel.
This show originally aired on the Austin, Texas public access channel to 300,000 households in its full length form. To see these shows the way they initially appeared on public television go to YOUTUBE (type "LARRY WESSELS ROMAN CATHOLICISM" in the YOUTUBE search box. The 16 hour Roman Catholicism Series includes the following titles: 1. Not Real Christianity But Old Testament Churchianity, 2. The Roman Mass Ritual is a Biblical Blasphemy, 3. What is Your Authority - the Church or the Bible?, 4. Man-Made Roman Catholic Inventions, 5. Anti-Biblical Vatican II & Ecumenical Evangelism, 6. Doctrine of the Virgin Mary (Rank Idolatry?), 7. Doctrine of Purgatory - Biblical Fact or Hoax?, 8. Doctrine of the Pope - Holy Father or Anti-Christ?, 9. Roman Catholic Apologists Defend Their Faith #1, 10. Roman Catholic Apologists Defend Their Faith #2, 11. Scripture Twisting - 20 Ways Cults Misread Bible, 12. Justification Through Faith Alone Denied By Rome, 13. The Catholic Priesthood Exposed By 1 Timothy 4:1-3, 14. Romanist Mysticism, Paganism & Idolatry, 15. Rome Says Even Atheists Are Believers!, & 16. Romanism Contradicts Itself - Shifting Doctrines. Other shows posted on YAHOO VIDEO: "Reformation Debate: Does Romanism Preach Another Gospel? (2 hours, Dr Robert Fastiggi versus Larry Wessels), "Sola Scriptura - All Biblical Scripture is God Breathed (with James R. White, author of "The Fatal Flaw"), "Theological Debate with a Roman Catholic Monsignor" (2 hours, Ed Jordan versus Rob Zins), "The Idolatry of Mary Worship," & "The Roman Catholic Inquisition" (featuring former priest Richard Bennett). Researchers are also invited to see 2 of our websites HistoryCart.com (covers early church history & teachings) & BibleQuery.org (7700 Bible questions answered). Send us your e-mail address to get free weekly e-mail updates. Remember "church" does not save you from the wrath of God but a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit (John 3:3-8, Titus 3:5-7) and this does not mean water baptism or some other "work" (1 Corinthians 1:14-19, Ephesians 2:8-10, John 1:12-13, Romans 9:11-16).

  • There are good representatives for every denomination of protestantism, and there are bad ones. Just as well, there are good reps of the Catholic faith and bad ones. This monsignor is not a good one. Please contact catholic answers for a real debate by ex protestant Jimmy Akin. He looks a lot like the protestant gentleman in this video. :)

  • @bereanbaconettes It's interesting to see how many varieties of "Catholics" there are with you as another who doesn't like poor Monsignor Jordan. You, as a so-called Catholic, think Ed is a poor one while the Diocese in Austin, TX thinks he's great! Which "Catholic" do I believe, you or Ed? What about Catholics who want priests to be able to get married like everyone else in the world? That would cut down on the 50% of all Romanist priests being homosexuals, right? We've done a debate with Akin.

  • canswers i applaud your efforts to preach the gospel. keep it up.

  • @tdmavens You're an idiot concerning the "Diocese of Austin, Texas"! Have you been a member of the Dioces of Austin, Texas? "Never" is likely your response, right? Well then, Monsignor Jordan is THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE DIOCESE OF AUSTIN, TX for this debate, not you or someone else, get it? W0RKS demonstrate inner love in an outward form (Galatians 5:6), they are an example to others (1 Tim 2:10), they bring glory to God (Mt 5:16, 1 Ptr 2:12). "Permanently" implied in Romans 9:11-13.

  • @CAnswersTV Just because someone is approved by the Bishop for the debate does not make him the official representative. A representative? Sure, but certainly not the representative. And again, please tell me what works ARE for. You have simply told me what works are not for (i.e. "WORKS are NOT done to accomplish salvation"), and you have told me how works are done (i.e. "lovingly done by those ALREADY PERMANENTLY SAVED BEFORE WORKS"). Oh, and which verse of Romans 9 says "permanently?" Thx.

  • @tdmavens First, you're "officially" wrong in your claim that Monsignor Ed Jordan was not the "official" REPRESENTATIVE of the Diocese of Austin, Texas since he WAS approved by the presiding BISHOP for the debate. Don't make claims you know nothing about. You're simply making an ignorant claim but pretending as if you know something. Next, WORKS are NOT done to accomplish salvation as Romanism teaches (merits, etc) but are lovingly done by those ALREADY PERMANENTLY SAVED BEFORE WORKS (Rom 9).
