Finally after years of sheer stupidity they began making better decision by ordering newly developed aircrafts such as AN 148 and TU 204, though they had better choices to opt for in airframe such as the Brazilian Embraer E 175 through E 195 series with European manufactured engines. We as Iranian need to stop the decay of our nation and rise up to the challenges. It is high time that this murderous, irresponsible regime must go.

Yet when they did they opted for buying used aircraft at exorbitant prices thanks to corrupt middleman “aghazadeha” connected to the regime hierarchy. In 1995 with increased air travel demands and high fuel charges the authorities finally decided to buy aircraft. Guess what they opted to pay billions of dollars to start a manufacturing plant for Antonov 140. Sixteen years later we can the factory in Esfahan can only manage to produce 4 aircraft per year!!!!

Instead of buying new aircrafts from Russia, Ukraine, China & Brazil, the managers of Iranian aviation initially chose to wet lease used aircraft from Russian and the Ukraine. After years of procrastination and several fatal crashes they decided to finally start purchasing aircrafts.
