Lately I have been working on a very long over-due project that has been on my mind for a while, and especially now, am in desperate need of. Now that I've burned through about half of my iron, and most of my redstone, it's time to head down into the depths. . . the problem is, it's nearly a 400 block trip to and from my home and the dig site.
Ever since I started the bedrock pit I realized I would need some kind of item delivery system to send things back to the center of the 280x280 hole, and have been playing with designs for the past few weeks. My desired system was compact, used only 2 pistons per set, and had no logic gates It worked really well at first, except for a glitch with redstone. Right now, if you try and push a powered detector rail with a piston, it permanently powers the circuit it was connected to, which killed the whole thing, a row of 12 alternating power and detector rails at the end of 6 tracks.
This design I settled upon is still pretty compact for it's function, gets the job done, and doesn't look half bad visually, in my opinion. So far I have been trying to strike a balance between tutorials, theoretical builds in creative, and builds done in my actual world. Please let me know what you think, if you would like to see more or less of anything, and I will try to work out my recording session plans after finals week is over.
As with nearly all the designs I use, I am by no means claiming things as 'Mine', things I post are just designs I arrived at using common Minecraft knowledge, unless specifically credited to someone in the description box.
Thanks for Watching!
Excellent video with a great use for the much underused and unloved storage carts. Great build :-)

@Biffa2001 Thanks. Yea you would have thought that when these were implemented, mobile chests would become a staple in large scale storage systems, yet oddly overlooked lol.

You really need to turn this into a LP with commentary, you are a great MCer!

@xisumavoid Thank you, I've been considering it for a while now. I might be looking into headsets once I sell this years textbooks back.
