Chupacabra Shot in Lebanon Junction, Kentucky

A mysterious animal believed by many to be the legendary goat-sucker Chupacabra was bagged in Lebanon Junction, Kentucky.

"I just happened to walk out on the porch and saw something moving in the field and it just looked unusual," said Mark Cothren, the Nelson County man who shot the animal on his property to get a closer look.

Although to me it looks like a small animal with mange. On January 7, 2011 it was revealed that the mysterious animal was a hairless raccoon.

This one was a mange ridden raccoon, look in the description. Still it is sad that it was shot along with all the other supposed “chupacabras”

All of them are native canine spices and domesticated dog hybrid that have really bad mange and malnutrition along with other diseases and disorders. They do not suck the blood of the animals they attack, it just looks like they do because canines often attack by grabbing the neck of their prey and biting through their esophagus causing them to bleed out and suffocate. Thus the appearance of drinking their blood when the bodies of the prey are found before they get a chance to eat them.

Poor thing, I hate that so many people find a mangy animal call it a “chupacabra” and then shoot it.Why not trap it so it can be helped or if you just want the “proof” you saw a “chupacabra” take photos and or videos of it.
