@deathdefyingleap How do the super 40s differ from the deltaflows on my car? Quieter, louder, etc??

Ive got a 66 mustang like yours
what do you think is better to get
the flow masters with the 40 Series Delta Flow Mufflers Part Number (17273)
or the flowmasters
50 Series Delta Flow Mufflers
part number (17334)
and whats the color of your car

I believe the 50 Series are a quieter design then my 40 series. I haven't heard a 50 Series , but I might welcome the sound of them if they aren't as loud and droning at 2600 rpm (60mph for me) as my 40 series are. But then again I absolutely love the sound of my 40 series at any rpm besides 2600.
Check out some of the mustang forums as this is an often discussed topic.

Oh and the color is Bright Atlantic Blue Metallic. This is what the previous owner told me anyways. But I'm pretty sure I've seen a new edge mustang with the same color as mine before.

do you get a lot of drone with the delta flows around 2k rpms?
pobno9210 2 years ago
Yes I do actually. 2000 rpms @ 60 mph gets annoying pretty fast. It gets better as you get above 2k though. I wear earplugs if i'm going on a drive longer than 15 min. But I also do not have sound deadening for the interior so that doesn't help either.
