I Think the government should get out of the energy business.

Condisending as your comment is I have to agree with you. We live in an age where a candidate can raise enough money to purchace two channels on Dish an Direct tv. Completly saturate the media with ads (and video games). No disrespect to our dear leader, but I think their needs to be a limit to campain spending. The American "Joe" is just too easily dazzeled.

If getting the double-digit inflation under control isn't good enough, then what can one say? The avereage Joe is an idiot.

I like how Democrats point out the obvious and they get hailed as geniuses. Al Gore gets a Nobel peace prize for telling the world what it knew for 30 years? What next, Nanci Peloci getting one for warning California that an earthquake will hit Sanfrancisco?

Pretty good. I asked a question and you answered it. However, the problem is that nothing he did stands out to the average Joe...or Mike.

He appointed Paul Volcker to the Fed to reverse the Philip's curve-based monetary policy and get inflation under control in the early 80s, he helped implement demand-side energy regulation that had the US almost entirely free of Persian Gulf oil in 1986 (then Reagan reversed them), he gave the Panama Canal back to Panama, he negotiated Egypt-Israeli peace,... How's that?

Former President Carter is right. America is far too reliant on foreign oil. We need to expand nuclear power and develop alternative sources like wind and solar. Attaining energy independence must be a national goal.

The U.S. fell off of peak oil in the 70's. It would not have mattered who was in office, that crisis was already in the pipeline. Anyone who was in the oval office at the time would have been blamed.

jimmy carter is the last one to be lecturing anyone about the nation and energy problems when he was the president known for gas rationing, recessions, inflation and energy problems. it took reagan to get us out of jimmy carter's mess. obama is the return of jimmy carter. history repeats itself. i wonder if there's someone out there that's going to get us out of obama's mess?

As I said:"...This Is Obama's Economy Now. He's wasted TRILLIONS, and just sent 100Billion more to Geitner's old bosses, the IMF while they sell off their gold to China. Guess what China's using to Buy that gold with? American $s" China is doing what is known as selling off their position. Trading paper(US $s) for Commodities(Gold). China's purchasing the 3rd largest gold stash with the $ Geitner is printing...basically we're Fucked. Keep printing that money Geitner, it's noble work your doing.
He was a good president, but he made lots of mistakes. FDR and Truman were better presidents, IMO.
He may very well be the best ex-president the US has ever had, though. I can't think of any other which has had such a positive impact on the world after leaving office.

Care to go into any specifics on this?
At all?
I'm not being sarcastic; I always here people throw out these conspiracy theories but requests for evidence always just lead to lazy "check the evidence for yourself" paranoia.
So, do tell.
