They were ridiculing Margaret Thatcher, someone who saved, and then destroyed the British economy, and yes I am a leftie, but I'm not ignorant, if I were ignorant I wouldn't have been marching would I?

I think you're confusing ignorance and apathy. I'd love to know how she destroyed the economy.

By weakening British industry (yes I know it was struggling already)she destroyed the Unions (necessary to an extent, but she took it way to far) to the extent that now strikes have very little effect. Her educational policies have lead to a breakdown in the school system, and these policies have unfortunately been adopted by "New" Labour. She began what Labour have finished. Hope that cleared up my argument a little

the school system was ruined by the abolition of grammar schools. Yes, I know it was hardly a fair system, but at least half of the school system worked - the comprehensive system ghettoises children in - in the ultimate irony - the name of equality.
