The best song ever for the men at arms ....it is true women are the motivators...a tribute to the world war 2 genration ....they are all gone now but i gotta remeber them because every breath i take is a loan to their single drop of blood ....my salute to you ...i wish you guys could come back !!!!!

First heard this song when I was stationed in Germany in the 60's. A friend of mine CMSgt Mel Billingsley used to sing this around the office....He was a great guy an even better boss and an outstanding friend. I would like to dedicate it to him....RIP Chief.............

I bought a cassette of Vera Lynn when I visited London some years ago .. I had never heard of her before. duh. I liked this song especially ..great singer she was!

@zitamarion Even Vera agreed that Deanna Durbin was the best singer of her generation, even better than Judy Garland. And an excellent actress, plus incrdibly gorgeous.
