@niccilomachiaveli, not atheist, according to wikipedia it's "a blanket term, typically used to refer to polytheistic religious traditions." I like to observe the Solstices and Equinoxes though. :D

I was quoting the bible, so of course there aren't any "facts" behind them. I'm essentially saying that if a person believes that the Bible is the word of God, then "christmas trees" are pagan symbols and shouldn't be in their houses anyway. Some may say "well that's the old testament" but so are the 10 Commandments and statements on homosexuality, it's tough to pick and choose which "words of God" a person's going to choose.
I went a bit overboard by quoting verses lol.

My father is a retired urologist in Britain (I grew up there but now live in the US) and he worked both in the national health system and privately (yes, both are available in Britain!) He shakes his head in despair at the loonies here trying to say that health care reform is a bad things and the comments about death panels just drive him to distraction. Lies, damned lies.
