I was inches away from one of their new bikes too, but like so many, I had gone through the ranks from my TS125 with full touring garb, through the apparently limited edition ETZ125XR and the TS250 then the ETZ301My father got the Rotax 500 and that was a great bike, but when they started using the Yamaha 660 Engines I was really tempted, the only thing that held me back was that the price was not MZ... For a few hundred more, you could get a real Japanese bike, and thats not right.

Very first run just as he went around the bend the wind blew into the mic but it sounded like he engaged jet rockets on his bike

I remember when the the mZ thou came out. The bike press really rated it but feared it wouldn't sell as it looked too chunky& primitive. They were right and MZ never recouped their development costs and went bust. What a pity.
