it's a special. amtrak is probably just moving them as instructed i imagine this is the amtrak taht runs from Chicago to LA.

i've seen it once in the morning on the BNSF Emporia sub at Emporia ks and was shocked as hell!!!! i didn't get that good of photos but i have some. this was back around early 2000s.

Great! One of these days, I will put up video that I took from the train on Cajon at the end of a transcontinental trip from D.C. to L.A. This was back in the pre-dome days of April, 1999.

This was a real surprise! My dad and I were setting up at Sullivan's Curve and we didn't notice him coming downgrade on Track 1. We thought it was the Southwest Chief.
