@versatility934 that's why I have a beef with samples. 1) The person creating the beat isn't being nearly as creative as the original, UNLESS you've heard the original 2)....people don't look at a sample in contrast with the original to deem originality. Therefore people will put what PRIMO and Dilla did/still do in comparison with a POLOW or Kanye. Sorry....Kanye turns hooks and loops into hot azz beats. Dilla creates original music from samples. Two different things.
