This dance tradition, known as Atan by Afghans, is all over the East and is done from Macedonia to India. Whoever started it thousands of years ago, it is now wide spread and we should enjoy it, learn it and perform it so it won't be lost and replaced by the recent Amero/Euopean electronic junk 'music' and accompanying so-called 'dance' that is eating away traditional arts like a deadly disease.Dr. L. @freba2008 this persian khorasani dance from iranian khorasan province whith theire traditional clothes,im khorasanipersian from mashhad ceture of khorasan province,if u s some similarity bc afghnistan was part of khorasan province of persia.
Rumi was not Afghan. We in Afghanistan throw away our history by calling ourselves Afghan and our land as Afghanistan. The real name for our land is Khurasan - but this name was deliberately changed in to the tribal name of 'Afghanistan' by the British to deliberately destroy the sense of history amongst the people - especially for Khurasan - and to empower a wrertched low class tribal people known as Afghans to want to destroy more of the Persian culture through Afghanisation of Khurasan.
if the pashtun dont exist who ruled you the last 5000 years? pls shut the fuck up dirty hazara mongolian, you fuckers have your turkic countrys because the pashtuns won against the russian soviets.ghypsi chinface
Afghan race does not exist - you idiot. Pashtuns are made up of many different peoples - the vast majority of them being descendents of Ghulam Khalaj Turkic Nomads whom have adopted Pashtu after much time spent roaming between Seistan and Sind through the Sulimani mountains. The word Afghan itself originally means NOMAD.
MY PARENTS ARE FROM "BIRJAND" & I REMEMBER THIS DANCE FROM CHILEDHOOD...IT WAS in all ceremonies SPECIALLY IN WEDDING :)

But i dont understand why iranian always steal the culture of Afghan , for instance, why do they keep thinking that rumi was from iran etc?
Anyway, nice dance
