When using the baby wipes you need to rub fairly hard and make sure all of the paper fuzz is off. I should look like it did new. It takes a little time and elbow grease burt I like it better than the spray adhesives and the glue pens.

I use baby wipes and they work like magic, i dont know why it didnt work for you :/

I used baby wipes on a small corner of mine and it is no longer sticky at ALL on the side. So glad I didn't use the wipe on the entire mat. I would have been very upset.

i saw/read somewhere to dry the mat with an embossing tool after wiping it clean with the baby wipes. i tried that and it worked really well for me. of course, it didn't last near as long as new, but it did extend the life of the mat.

There's not a lot of weight in a small strip if paper. Use the weight of a whole piece of cardstock and see if it stays on.

I cleaned my mats with hand cleaner it's mild and works like a charm. Then I used the easy-tac to re glue the mats. I haven't had any problems.
