A new Club for Growth ad running in Indiana. www.ClubForGrowth.org

"Debt" (Indiana) (:30)

Thirty-five years. That's how long Richard Lugar has been in Washington.

What's he done about our debt?

Lugar voted for the Wall Street bailout, the car company bailouts, the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac bailout.

Back in the 1970s, he even voted to bail out New York City.

Now, with 14 trillion in debt, Lugar will soon vote on raising our debt limit even higher.

After thirty-five long years, tell Richard Lugar: no more debt.

Dick Lugar is a strong, solid conservative. He ALWAYS has been. He supports a balanced budget amendment (always has), he wants to shrink the size of government (always has), he wants to reduce the amount of spending (always has), wants to grow our economy (always has) and provide jobs for Hoosiers (always has). Dick Lugar is the solution, not the problem. Wake up.

This video is boderline drivel. What is this attack all about anyway. Lugar has supported a balanced budget amendment for a long time, and supported the Fair Tax before there was a Fair Tax.

Club for Growth is becoming a very disappointing group.

If Lugar is truly a conservative, he will survive. I am in California so if better candidates have been recruited, I wish they would bring them here.

I love how the "Club for Growth" opposes the stimulus and bailouts........measures the US government can take to help the economy grow.

Chris Chocola...how did you vote in Congress on tax cuts and the wars? That was irresponsible leadership.

Lugar is a R.I.N.O.! He needs to be replaced with a true conservative.

If we default Obama gets to decide unilaterally how and where money is spent. This does not sound like a conservative or pro-growth idea to me. Lugar has voted for the balanced budget amendment every time. He introduced the Fair Tax in 1995, before it was the in-vogue "conservative thing" to be. This is an unneeded and unnecessary expenditure by the club for growth and I hope it does not impact an otherwise thoughtful and principled group's ability to raise money.

Sorry, REAL SPINE is NO RAISING OF DEBT CEILING, PERIOD!!!! MAJOR CUTS to non-constitutional departments and agencies, spending slashed, and NO "BALANCED Budget" amendment farce!

All that a BBA means is we can continue to spend on UNCONSTITUTIONAL projects, as long as we take in as much as we are putting out. NO, NO NO!!!!!!

Wake up, fellow Americans! The BBA is another Trojan horse! It's NOT the answer, limiting Washington to the Constitution is!!!

This is absurd. Lugar has literally been a true fiscal conservative for his entire career as a public servant for Indiana. Chocola is working for few people of extreme ideological ideas. Lugar works for every Hoosier and American. I guess that's why he's enjoyed reelection so often, whereas Chocoa was ousted years ago.

The Club for Growth is led by a failed legislator who couldn't make tough decisions. This attack is just silly and out of touch with the realities of our economy. Debti is no good, but the complete collapse of our financial system would have ruined our country.

Senator Lugar has always supported a balanced budget amendment and has advocated a vote on the amendment before any vote on the debt ceiling. It's a shame that the club for growth is taking money from Democrats to run this ad.
