It's the nori *sheets* you want... and you should be able to find these in any health food store. Supermarkets also sell nori but it is the toasted version. I recommend Funky Raw in the UK for mail order nori.

I bought some organic, untoasted nori sheets, opened up the package and it literally smells fishy. Are nori sheets considered vegan?

Yes they are and the reason why they smell fishy is because they smell of the sea, as do fish... so it is really a sea smell!

Hi Karen ! I prepared this recipy just yesterday, to be honest I didn't want to try it coz it looked with not flavor but I'm surprised, It was amazing !!!! extremely tasty, all home loved them.
