No raw diets do not cause worms.Barf diets consist of muscle meat, organs, and bones. Worms and parasites only live in the guts of animals we not not feed guts. Check out Dr. karan Becker on Raw Meat Diet for Dogs and Cats she's on youtube and actually knows what she's talking about. People need to stop believing myths about the raw diet because it really is the best and only diet a dog and cat should be eating.
Raw does NOT cause worms in dogs or cats for that matter. I wonder what raw your feeding though if that is happening...Raw from Safeway isn't the same as frozen raw diets. Honestly most raw made for pets is in better quality than ours are. Most is flash frozen and us organic and whole ingredients. My cats eat better than I do! All I am saying is do your research and get good product. Supermarket raw is meant to build up bacteria because it will get cooked.
@idaviruma Actually protein content hasn't been implicated in causing renal failure. Rather it is implicated in uremic crisis secondary to an already malfunctioning kidney. In other words, if you have poorly functioning kidneys -- you want to have a low protein diet, but if your kidneys work well, low protein is not protective, and doesn't keep your kidneys functioning any better than they were in the first place.
IF YOUR DOG HAS KIDNEY FAILURE DO NOT FEED HIM/HER RAW MEAT IT HAS TOO MUCH PROTEIN, THATS HOW MY DOG DIED, THE DOCTOR SED I WAS FEEDING HIM TOO MUCH PROTEIN RICH FOODS LIKE CHICKEN
You are the guy from that other BARF video promoting no homemade raw diet. promoting to BUY BARF which is the company you work for. However, I do agree with your point of view in grain-based dog kibbles or any processed dog food at all. But I would like to include BARF diet in that pile of no-go dog food.
@2ttequila Wrong. Encysted worms live in muscle

its highly unlikely that raw would cause kidney faillure since its only 20% protein, the rest is water which is essential for proper kidney function.
