  • Hello after you make the test directory you copy a file to it, you use (con) and the a upside down v with the letter z. What does that mean?

  • A user can create a file using the copy con command which creates a.txt file. When you have completed creating the file, you can save and exit the file by pressing CTRL+Z, which would create ^Z, and then press enter. An easier way to view and edit files in MS-DOS would be to use the edit command.

  • hi ..i had restarted my computer in ms-dos mode and i cant get back to my windows how do i do that?

  • When you install DOS and Windows on the sames drive you need to install the older operating system first. Then do a clean (not upgrade) install with Windows and you will have a dual boot menu, when you startup, where you can select either DOS or Windows. Hope this helps. Greg
