  • This movie totally sucked monkey pole. I agree w/ ZomGitsCriss on most points, except where she says she'd recommend the movie. WHY?? A few cute 'characters' can't overcome a terrible, Disney script laden with boring cliches.

This wasn't 'Alice in Wonderland' at all, it was the Disney version of Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. Please, go see the original, or read the book.

  • In regard to the real story: "Everything is actually something else".

You're exactly correct. It's a little known fact that Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) was a logician, and his Alice stories were all logical conundrums and paradoxes. What's even stranger is that what tweedle dee and tweedle dum were saying is true.

  • Exactly!!! You have just read my thoughts, and as for the 'sex and the city' review, too! Double agree :))

  • I totally agree with your summing up. But I disagree that no-one could have played the Red Queen better - Helena B-C copied Miranda Richardsons character of Queenie in Blackadder. I think Johnny Depp did as much as he could with his role, but the 'futterwhacking' dance at the end was pointless, and Matt Lucas was underwhelming as Tweedledum and Tweedledee.

  • I never smoked pot ever. But seeing this film, I felt like I smoked pot. I was high as fuck.

  • Dr.Sabrosky (Jew),Director of US Army War College, I am 100 percent sure that 9/11 was Mossad operation:

Youtube, enter, "Military Now KNOW Israel did 9/11"

  • @Christobanistan Yes, its one of the few games that are worth buying this year IMO.:)

  • @Agentbromsnor I LOVED that game a decade ago.

Did you know that the sequel, "Alice: Madness Returns" will be released in one week? BFG!!!

  • @Ensiferu Sorry, when I said 'original' I was referring to the oldish movie I saw during my childhood. Can't recall who was in it, but not the cartoon. I just hate how children's books these days are so pussified and boring. They used to be a bit scary or disturbing, a real challenge to the young mind. Disney and hippies have ruined generations of children to thinking the world is all lollipops and balloons, instead of the difficult, sometimes terrifying place it is.

  • @Christobanistan

i agree too, but after rewatching older version, i have to say that i do not really like any film adaptation nearly as much as the story (plus there's no real 'original' among the like 50 movies made up to date). i guess i need to wait and hope that american mcgee makes his promised move.

  • OTOH, the armour isn't cheesecake armour--I'll give him points for that.

  • Ever since Coraline, I began to slowly lose my respect for Tim Burton. The word "crap" began to make its way into the dialogue, which seemed completely out of place for his style. But when I saw this movie and Johnny Depp dancing at the end as if he were in an MTV music video, I just lost all of it. Don't get me wrong, Sweeny Todd was amazing, but after this, it'll take a lot to make me respect him again...
