Louis Kentner plays the second of Liszt's concert etudes in this rare footage filmed at the pianist's last reciital in London for the Liszt Society, shortly before his death.
In advanced old age, Kentner retained his artistry and beautiful sound, even if the fingers are not always what they had once been. What a wonderful tribute this footage is to the pianist's lifetime in music. Something to be treasured.
