The second of two videos promised by Nick Izumi. It was supposed to be a mini-review, but turned into an epic. Izumi tries watching what he believes is the worst of the original Gundam movies. Who will survive?

I like F91 and beyond for the technical standpoint. The mobile suit are several heads smaller then in the early Universal Century, but are just as and even more powerful. Also, Victory Gundam is a "good" bad gundam show to watch. It's so bad that even Tomino didn't want people to watch it.

I really should have mentioned more of my thoughts on the mecha designs. I think the Crossbone suits are hard to tell apart.

As for Victory, I actually love that show.

haha this is awesome. i'm gonna watch this just to make fun of it. i think it rivals Plan 9 From Outer Space. i saw you at daisho con...and listened to the gundam panel you did. i'm fascinated with the gundam universe, but have only watched gundam wing.

Plan 9's on a level all its own though. This one's just unescapably lame.

I'm glad you enjoyed the panel at Daisho! Deffinately check out more Gundam. I love the series, and while some fall flat, most of them are pretty darn cool.

I think you need to rant about how much Gundam 00 sucked. Also, this is the only original Gundam movie. All the other ones were based on their series counterparts. Well, there is G savior, but that's just terrible.

F91 could have been rather good if they just stuck with trying to get a full series out of it or even an OVA series.

As a movie it's flawed. It's like the first third is pretty much watchable and paced well enough, but the rest of the film is this mad race to cram all these plot points in there.

The editing and plotlessness is actually because this was suppose to be a full length series but Tomino got told they were going to make it into a movie. Thus is suffered horribly.
