  • Hi - the dome is up for a larger diffuser. For the amberdome, having the dome upside-down (inside the bowl) gives more warmth as the amber bowl is inside the dome. When it is dome-up, it warms the ceiling and a little bit of forward light. In other words, the amberdome is warmer when upside-down. For shooting forward (shoot-through) dome-out is preferred because it reduces the "hot spot" in the center of the dome. However if you do not have a lens shade, the dome should be inside-out.

  • I like that last shot. I was at the studio doing the same thing using narrow light box setup but your using the powersnoot.

  • Just noticed the pic of the Lightsphere top dome on in a "bubble up" fashion. What's the correct orientation for the two domes since they can go both ways on the new Collapsible Lightsphere?
