The gophs know they don't have to fight to win, but UND has no other option(Ben Blood for example)There was no cheapshot, if you're talking about :22, he was just pushing the UND player off.

@Benisuber1 TWO referees going after the ND player holding him back. Every player on the ice is getting in to it, but what do the refs do? Grab every ND player they see--leaving the Gopher player free to cheapshot. We'll see who is a whiny bitch when the Gophers stop getting the favorable calls and non calls in the new conference.

@STCalvin17 And 7 of those 14 WCHA players were from Minnesota, that's half. Over a third of the whole team. And for clarification, it's a Minnesotan team (12/20), since the only talent schools like NoDak get are from MN (Canada nowadays). And I'm sure if Brooks had coached 9 more seasons, he'd have quite a few more championships. But then he got hired as the Olympic coach. I'd never heard of "Gino" before you mentioned him. *embarassing*

@Benisuber1 I don't remember gold medals being part of NCAA regulations, so i'm pretty sure those don't count. You should check the roster of the Miracle team 14/20 WCHA players (including NoDak, Wisc, & MN-Dul). That's an AMERICAN team, not a Gopher team. Brooks, 3 national championships. John "Gino" Gasparini, 3 national championships. Come on dude, now you are just embarrassing yourself.

Oh, and don't let Anchorage sweep you out of the Final Five again. Remember, this is your last shot.

@STCalvin17 Well even with all these good teams we're still leading the conference. Sounds like production to me.

And we've also got a gold medal along with Boston College and some Wiso players, so there's that. The rest of the conference will never have anything like the Miracle on Ice, or a legend of a coach like Herb Brooks.

@Benisuber1 No, the reason you are leaving the conference is because Big 10 wants to capitalize on the growing market of college hockey. Also, for the record, UofM has less Championships (5) than both NoDak (7) and Denver (7) and are barely trailing behind their Big 10 shower buddies Wisconsin (6). You have fun in the new conference. Maybe you guys can learn how to "produce" when you only have 5 other teams to play against for a conference title.
