On Monday, September 19, 2011. WABC will relaunch their news broadcast from a new studio. The studio is state of the art and this is video of what it looks like outside the set. The studio is a street side studio that will allow viewers to peek in when permitted (assuming that the blinds are not down) to view what is going on and see the production of Eyewitness News in real time. Anyway this is the second ABC O&O to feature a street-side studio that allows pedestrians walking by the station to literally see the broadcast happening right in front of their eyes. They are truly Eyewitnesses to the newscast being produced and they are 100% living up to their names.

The studio and broadcast should launch on Monday September 19, 2011. During the Fall 2011 Television premiere week.

  • 'A' Channel Ottawa now CTV OTtawa has the street front look modeled after CITYTV Toronto

  • Roger and Bill would've been impressed had they still been with us today.

  • i was there todai

  • The new EWN studio for WABC-DT really looks impressive, and it's ultra-modern too. You can really see the anchors read the news live as it happens, as well as how they present the news on a daily basis. By the way, what's the cross-street of this impressive studio? And will the street-level news studio be rolled out on other ABC O&Os as well?

  • Holy Crap Batman!
