And guinea pigs eat constantly because their intestines have to work constantly, if they don't eat constantly, the intestines doesn't have to work and get blocked up. Just a fact ;)

guinea pigs (like humans) cannot produce their own vitamin C. they have to have suppliments that you can get at your local pet store. they eat ALOT of hay. and they poop ALOT. they also need carrots and greens and stuff like that to help them get vitamin C naturally as well as artificially.

they have to have a vitamin c suppliment and lots of vegetables and fruit. they also have guinea pig food. and need lots of water. my guinea pig eats CONSTANTLY
