Just a quick video of how I Ink, Color, and Shade with my Wacom Cintiq 12wx.
Wacom's site says its still about $999. http://www.wacom.com/cintiq/cintiq-12wx.php

The video, unedited was 1 hour 3 minutes long (that's how long it took me to do the whole thing) Though, after cutting a little bit out here and there, plus speeding up the Inking by 2x, and the Coloring by 4x, the video ended up being exactly 9 minutes.

Enjoy!

The black glove I was using, is to reduce friction and make smoother lines using my Tablet:

Please go check em out, and pick one up for yourself. :) You don't have to just use it with Tablets, if you are a traditional artist, they help out too!

  • gaaawd it's been 2 years after I saw that and I still love it :3

maaan you make me still want that thing but I have to search everywere and I couldn't find that :o

  • @y7veyhaz Hey! Nice to see a return customer hehe :) I believe the Cintiq 12wx is still available to buy, although I guess you just have to know where to look. Buying it online rather than in a store is much easier though for sure. :)

  • How much is that tablet?

  • @4KTScotty Wacom's site says $999.

  • what application you use here?

i dont understand one thing. when i import someones sketch into my photoshop, i create new layer for lineart, but then i disable original sketch and i have my lineart on the screen but the background is hollow, it's not white, there are white / gray squares...................... how to make that backgrund is white after i remove original sketch !?

  • @Lundvalnaden After you hide the original layer with the sketch, make another layer behind it and use the bucket/fill tool and fill it with white. :) Now you have a white background behind your lineart. The grey checkerboards just show you what areas are 'transparent'. If you saved it as a Gif or png24, anywhere that you see the checkerboard, will be invisible, so the page background color of a website would show through.

  • best wacom video i saw on youtube :)

  • When the author of this video said that the 'expensive' ones have the screens built in, I don't think that there was exactly enough emphasis on how much more expensive...

We're talking around 200$ for a Wacom Bamboo Fun, the lowest model you can get for digital drawing.

The Wacom Intuos vary from 220$ to around 700$ from smallest to biggest.

The ones with the screens, sadly, begin at 1000$ and end at 2000$.
