  • You don't want to go very deep under the gums. Just a millimeter or so. Think of dipping down first, and then gently scooping away the plaque as you go from front to back. The other way to use this is to put the point gently between the base of two teeth and then massaging in a circular motion. Only do this where the rubber tip fits easily. This will help to stimulate blood flow in the area. (I'm an RDH.)

  • to late for me i have false teeth, lost mine 8 months ago to gum disease at age 35,

from smoking, drinking and probably drinking too much coke,

    you live and learn.

  • My dentist gives me these tools when I leave his office(flossing apparatice, gum stimular, toothbrushes, etc.)...my dentist is fantastic, gentle, and so caring. He totally cured my fear of a dentist's office, since a child(68 yrs old now)

Ihad my91 yr old mother go to him and she said "that "boy" did such a good job, I gave him a $5.00 TIP! roflmao(we still laugh over that one!)

  • Great. One of the better expertvillage videos I have to say.

  • sorry to say, but dentists don't know how toclean teeth. how many times i had to rescale hard calculus deep under the gum because the dentist failed to remove it.

  • i prefer to go to my dentist and have scalling procedure... :)

  • do you go against the gumline or actually into the gums?

  • Doesn't this technique just pushes down the plaque further down into the gums?

  • I got mine at a Long Drugs for 3.99 yesterday (Dec 08) in California, it's a need thing to have.
