Telkom's new ad is a fun stab at the horrors of commitment that some feel when signing up for lengthy contracts. Created to punt Telkom's new 3 month free internet trial offering, the ad was developed by McCann Erickson and brought to life by Fresh Eye Film Productions director Bevan Cullinan.
McCann Erickson is well known for their impactful, humorous scripts and Fresh Eye's Bevan Cullinan has a long-standing history in delivering commercials with a witty, funny and emotional edge, providing a great fit for Telkom.
McCann Erickon's Dominic Hatchuel says "It was important to us to make the commercial watchable, as we had planned for high media rotation. We also believed that a fun, smart ad, properly executed, could only spark the right kind of attraction for the product on offer. We were excited to work with Fresh Eye and Bevan, and we believed in his ability to add just the right amount of humour. The result is a great litle ad to spearhead our retail campaign."
