I recently got corrected by an Old guy, and I'll pass it along to those that might want to know. The term "tri-power" applies to many three-2barrel equipped engines. BUT....the correct term when describing the same setup on the Olds engines is "Tri-Carb" or "Tri-Carbbed". Now...go with God and impress your Olds freak buddies.

tripower was a one year only option for oldsmobile and that would be 1966 it came on the olds 442 or the extremely rare w30 with 400 cid the w30 car had the ram air shroud for the 3 carbs and pumped air thru 2 scoops that were in the front bumper and the hoses ran into the shroud one on each side, the tripower unit will fit all olds big blocks 400-425-455 ive had several gto over the years pontiacs are just as fast as the oldses, i am a gm guy period !!!!!!
