i got my dm 380 today! i had a Mosrite MarkII (ventures model) back from the mid 80's to the early 90's when i foolishly traded it for a Triumph TR-6 the car burnt to the ground 6 months later because of a short circuit under the dashboard. i about crapped myself when i saw that the present owner of my Mosrite wanted for it, $3500. living on disability theres no way in hell i'd ever afford that. i was pleasantly surprised when i picked up a dm380, it's close in sound and feel to my old MarkII

what song is that playing @ 00:28 ?

@TheTacalo93 As far as getting a Nirvana / Pink Floyd sound out of this, it could be a start. However, Kurt Cobain's UNIVOX Hi-Flier (the guitar this Aria DM-380 is modeled after) was a later series and featured two humbuckers, not two P90's. One thing you could do is put DiMarzio soapbar replacements in it. I believe they make a Super Distortion that fits in a P90. One final thing is that Kurt Cobain's sound was heavily based on his playing style, not his gear.

the trem block made me laugh when I saw it but at least the body is routed to take a stock strat bridge.And it's actually asian alder but their description is alder which is slightly misleading.

Cobain had a few hi fliers, but he did also have a mosrite gospel, very rare.

i have been looking for an affordable UNIVO High Flyer. I finally found it...
-
@kyzrvlhlm1995 he had a mosrite too.
-
@bobert995 no, it was a Univox Hi-Flyer (a Jap Mosrite Copy made of Plywood)
-
@booneh well, mosrites don't have p90's
F*** it, I'm getting one of these, and yeah it's a cheap Mosright copy but that's the point..... I don't have 2,000 for a 'vintage' Japanese pice of s***, but I do have enough for one of these... SOLD
