From House episode 3x15, "Half-Wit". House wrote this composition in high school, but didn't know how to finish it. It was finished on the spot by the savant David when House presented it to him in his hospital room.

To me, this piece (the completed version by David) represents the character of House perfectly. Beautiful and brilliant, but highly conflicted, and in the end, just wants to be happy like everyone else.

Since the version played in David's room is actually a duet (and David has some interesting improvisations), I had to make a guess on what House originally composed. In the end, it seemed likely that the original composition simply repeated the previous two measures, and then David's addition would come in afterward.

  • @wilcoll87 No problem. This is actually a perfect transcription, minus the duet part.
