What the United States needs is a true "United States Labor Party" that will stand for the interests of the Working and Middle Classes, this Party should follow in the tradition of the earlier progressive movements, the number1 Issue should be to nationalise the Federal Reserve and put Congress in control of the issuence of Money, other issues Glass-Steagle Act, exit from NAFTA, GATT, WTO, Re-Industrialisation of the US.

@badbob85037 I'm not done yet While we have been fighting on useless issues Congress just turned over to the president the power to chose through out the spectrum thousands of government positions without congress aproval. Both parties were in on this dismantalin of the Constitution. Budgetcuts proposed by the Repugs are a joke at best but the Demos act as if it would kill us all. @eggplant1905 Well if the private companies didn't hire back the same amount of people they had working before, then yes, they are part of the reason for the high unemployment. That has nothing to do with job creation. You brought up a good question. "If neither are creating jobs, then who will?" That is still to be seen. It will come from the private sector when they are ready.

What was the cause of the economic collapse that resulted in high unemployment rates? The private sector.
