I will soon be lifting the engine from this S10. I do not have use for the engine, the radiator, the AC components, the fuel tank or fuel pump, and will be selling those components. This video is intended to allow interested parties to hear the engine. Yes, the engine has a knocking sound. I know it is not the greatest engine. It may not even be salvageable. I do not have a clue about the cause of the knocking sound, or the remedy. I will be selling the engine for parts, since it does have a known knocking sound.
The engine is a 2.2L I4 MPI engine currently in a 4x2 S10. There are 146,300 miles on the clock. The rest of the truck is in fairly decent shape.... just the engine is questionable.
@rideordie702- mine was about ready to throw a rod. My engine was shot. I didn't want to fix it, as doing so would've cost more than the truck was worth. So, I sold the truck for parts. I could've bought a replacement engine from some salvage yard, but I wouldn't have had any guarantee that it was any better than the one you heard in my video, and I wouldn't have known until I paid someone to install the engine. So, getting rid of the truck was the only real solution for me.
