  • This is amazing. She sounds so young in this recording, I had to double check the date in your header. Thanks so much for sharing.

  • The date is 1957, with sure; I have the album ALONE. I could post more recordings, with you like:)

  • This is the absolute definitive recording of this beautiful torch song classic. Garland's heartbreaking, emotionally-charged vocal is made so much more effective by Gordon Jenkins' arrangement & choral accompaniment. Judy's ability to act her vocals & move the listener to tears has remained unsurpassed. Another Jenkins' masterpiece of arranging is his 1951 Decca recording of "The Three Bells," backing the famous Andrews Sisters in a very serious & dramatic performance of the Edith Piaf calssic.

  • Music by Edgar Leslie and lyrics by Lawrence Wright, without whom nothing - no album, no arrangements, no Judy Garland cover, no wonderful souvenir. Thanx for sharing.

  • Torch song at its best!

  • Forever beautiful .

" I found the broken heart ........among my souvenirs. "

  • made me cry utter beauty

  • She was amazing :')

  • we love you Judy.

  • An incomparable rendition of an often recorded melody.

  • I've heard many versions of this song since the 50's and always thought it was... I guess, BLAND. The first time I heard Judy sing it I thought, Oh no, don't do THAT song! Second listening, I thought, Oh my God, so THAT'S what this song is about!

  • Judys very best Studio LP,a lot of credit must go to Gordon Jenkins.I wish that they had put Im Old Fashioned onto the released recording ,a pity ot was left out

  • What a lovely version! Treasured and cherished.....in my heart and mind........forever.
