  • Great two machines and a lot of money to make. OK, I've got a few questions, lets start with can I get the GT-451 in the U.K. (England) and if yes would I have your support with the machines maintenance, as no machine is built without the need for maintenance and my other questions are does the machine clog up and do I have to clean it often? And for good print quality what does the resolution print image need to be to get that bright, vibrant colour? And what is the resolution of the GT-451?

  • In the UK I know that GS-UK is a distributor for the Brother equipment. And they do provide support so you'd be OK with support as they have offices around the UK. Resolution is 600 dpi. Maintenance is easy - keep it clean. That's the biggie. And change and clean the capping station when changing out the black ink cartridges. Resolution doesn't necessarily depend on color vibrancy - that is all in the artwork.... :)

  • No. We normally do not pull the ink out of the lines. However if the trailer gets too hot whole sitting or during transport that will and can cause serious issues with the ink in the heads. I've had it happen to me.

  • The GT-541 is just under $20,000...

  • @mexer What if I have a really, really small budget and I'm starting out in my home like a small home based business, how can I put a giant screen printing equipment in my room? And my room is roughly 12X20 Sq Feet with a bed, a desk, clothes, and some miscellaneous items already in it?

  • Do you have to drain the ink every time you travel with the printer?

  • As a screen printer from the mid 80's I can say the Direct to garments work very well. Plastisol will always be the best for long term durability (it is all plastic), but the Brother's works extremely well. Fibrillation is the main problem, but we've just started using the Hanes Tagless 6 oz and they wash and look great even after multiple multiple washes. In reality the ink doesn't fade - its the fibrillation... just like some screened shirts do I have seen... :)

  • I wonder if the problem with this scenario is that he isnt using a silicone coated parchment paper to cure the shirt. Perhaps that is why your t shrts are faded.

  • More like Direct to headache or Direct to faded T SHIRT! these clowns make it look fun and easy but in reality your in for problems and a headache! dont wash your shirt either cuz its gonna fade!silk screen ink holds way better! STAY AWAY!!!
