A group of Pahang residents has urged Australia's Lynas Corp to "pack up and leave" Malaysia and abandon plans to build a rare earth refinery in Gebeng, near Kuantan.
Vincent Jiam, leader of a group of Pahang residents protesting the Lynas Advanced Materials Plant, said that plant would bring more harm than good.
"Please pack up and leave and go home. Don't leave anything behind... don't even leave your slippers behind," he told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.

@blattmacher Yes,it is very little bit benefits for the malaysian, but huge benefits for the person approved this project..they are not care the people life in danger, Vote out BN....stop Lynas the only way to change the gov..

Today 6.03.2012 our International trade minister Mustapha said. our atomic energy department had issue the temporary license to lynas to start operating the refinery very soon. Ignoring all the protests.
Stop the BN and Stop Lynas..... Who want to stay near Gebeng or Kuantan area..its very scarely......
