Checkin out your vid. Nice shop! I do believe that that kiln needs a 30 amp dedicated breaker. It is a 20 amp kiln and a 20 amp breaker isnt enough. I know because I melted a plug doing the same thing. Love the boro bars you showed too. No more star white for me. I like your blow tube idea and will pass it on in the shop. Cool vid man . Thanks for sharing.

i have my set-up in my attatched garage. My tanks are right in side the large oxy. and 20lb propane. i know that is probly dangerous but. Im in Upstate NY so if i did have them outdoors i would need a roof over them. right? cuz a the snow

As a preference I keep my tanks outside. However I did Have them inside for the 1st 5 years. Being attached to your house is a good reason to identify some alternatives to keeping them inside. If you do have the opportunity to put them outside, it is best to have some sort of roof cover over them. If not sometimes the snow can build up on the valves, and freeze them preventing you from being able to turn them on or off. It is best for your regulators to be covered as well.

Does it still get pretty warm in there during the summer with it being uninsulated even with the A/C? Just curious, I would like to have a cool little shop area like yours!

It still gets really hot in the summer even with the AC. Insulation would really help. I live in the south so our summers are brutal, it helps to work early in the morning, or at night. Also I placed this building in the afternoon shade, notice the tree line to the left of the building. The shade helps considerably.
The AC does help a lot, and in the evenings it works out really good.

how does it compare to the scorpion or like the nortel major? im debating on which torch i need to get that would be the most effective for lampworking without spending too much.

the Mirage torch is quite a bit more advanced than the smaller torches. It really all depends on what you want to make out of glass; that will determine what type of torch you will need.
