I'm terribly sorry about the poor parts-cutting for youtube on my part; initially I had it done much better but there were severe problems when uploaded so I had to take it down. If this bothers you too much; the dvd only costs a few quid :)

If, at some time, something seems wrong with this upload as well - please drop me a note. Thank you!

Bright Young Things (2003) is a satirical movie about London bohemians from the 1920s to the early 1940s -- nicknamed the Bright Young People. Based on a book, Vile Bodies, by Evelyn Waugh it is the terrific directional debut of Stephen Fry; with a great cast.

  • Hi there! First of all, what a fantastic taste in films you have ;D Do you know where I can find the piece of music from that plays during the party? The only version I can find has Michael Bublé singing over the bloody top. ¬¬

  • @singthebattle you are overly kind. If you have any ideas for other movies to upload, hesitate not to suggest!

The song that plays during the party is 'sing, sing, sing', originally written in the 1936 by Louis Prima. If you want an acoustic version, then there are multiple if you search for a Benny Goodman recording.

  • oh... I love you for posting this!

    THANK YOU!!!!! :)

  • @scandowegianpean

What, you love me simply because I uploaded this film?!

In that case I should post some more! Open for suggestions ;)

  • Half the film was blocked for me :l

  • @flobagz

Were you unable to see certain parts [of the 14 total] or did it simply stop playing at a certain point in this first part?

I had a quick look just now and this video -and the others that I tried- worked fine for me [none on 'private' either]. Moreover, the hotspots-function did not show sudden drops in viewers indicating troublesome parts.

Usually when I had such problems -at videos of other users- it was my internet connection. However, I shall look for problems on my part.

  • This is one of those movies where you keep going "omg I recognize that actor too!" ...at least it was for me, anyway. But it's a great film. I'm glad I discovered it by accident.

  • @singthebattle This song is called "sing sing with a swing" by Benny Goodman and his orchestra
