I'm have the Duodenal Switch surgery in five days and i have been watching you videos and this week i started getting really scared for the first time, but seeing these are helping my stress and anxiety. I weighed 419 three days ago. I'm 28 and 5'7", I would like to add you to my facebook, because alot of my friends and family don't understand it. Even my grandma who had roux en y 14 months ago. I hope you are close to your goal and wish you all the best life has to offer!

Hey Jen, I also thought you might like to know that not all clothes are created equal. That is because there can be up to a 3" difference in the same size. So it also depends on how the clothes are cut. I currently wear a size 22/24 depending on the way the clothes are cut. But I am kind of even on top and bottom, currently I weigh 282.6lbs and am 5'5" tall.

Our bodies are shaped differently...I ran into something similiar because there were people my same weight and I wasn't able to wear the same size at the time....Also the loose skin plays into that as well. Congrats on the 28 lb loss...that is awesome :)

Hey I gotta say its all about how you carry your weight. I weigh 280 (havin gastric bypass OCT 22nd) I wear a 22 in pants and a XL to XXL in tops. My Wedding dress was an 18 and I think they run large. My friend weighs 229 and wears a 22 so it is on an individual basis.

You are doing a super job! Isn't it amazing that the first week sucks so bad, and now you're already thinking about clothes shopping! Yay!
SIzes are SO fickle. Today I'm wearing size 24 pants - yesterday, 22s. A 2x shirt - the other day, a 1x and a 3x. It really depends on the clothes design. One of your comments said to wear what fits and what's comfortable. I agree. Keep trying things on, too. You just never know.
Enjoy!
I'm going through and rewatching all of your vids...and I so understand you. I keep telling you that we are twins, well not anymore b/c you have lost alot of your weight. I have decided to have wls and I am looking for a support unit.
