  • I've noticed the same issue in several of the other Sardis videos. The limiter was not turned on, nor was the volume set high. If you'll listen to the clips at Duke and Calvary, they don't have the same problem and the settings for volume were similar, albeit, the volume for Sardis was set lower than the other two places. Would the lower volume needing to be amplified in an editing program cause the fluctuation?

  • I asked the organist to play this at my Father's Memorial service. The organ was down and she played it on a grand piano instead. The piano did not flood the church with sound, instead it resonated as the lone voice in the chancel. Absolutely moving. A lone voice echoing up to the heavens full of feeling as only fingers on piano keys can impart. It was the perfect call to reflection of a man who was of a quiet nature and loving soul. It turns out that I am glad the organ was boken that night.

  • @tippymugs That is awesome! I love this piece so much; if the organist at my church played this before the mass I would have a spiritual experience just from listening to it. Cheers.

  • I think the limiter should've been turned off to avoid those changes in volume and to give a wider dynamic range to the track. Or at least the rec. volume a bit lower, so the limiter wouldn't kick so brutally in.
