A recent Supreme Court decision threatens the very foundations of our democracy.

By opening the floodgates to corporate spending in our elections, Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission gives corporations and the mega-wealthy a disproportionate amount of political influence.

As 2012 campaign spending shoots to unprecedented heights, the interests of average Americans are being drowned out by non-stop negative ads and manipulative robo-calls.

A democracy for sale is not a real democracy.

Fortunately, the work of nearly 2 million grassroots activists is paying off as the U.S. Senate held a hearing to consider a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United. This footage is from that hearing. We hope you enjoy it and are inspired to join the fight to take back our democracy.

Sorry, but I harbor no sympathies for the sheep who willingly line up for slaughter. They deserve to become so much mutton. People have access to more information from one computer than the contents of any library on the planet, yet they CHOOSE to remain ignorant. Let them die as the water is poisoned and food grows scarce resulting from corporate greed and avarice. I just simply will not have children. The redeeming qualities of this nation of fools do not out weigh its malevolence.

sure, but FCC is not my fight, I have never had a TV so I couldn't care less about the idiots who are willing to subject them selves to its control. (yes it is control, mirror neuron response has been proven to effect dopamine levels among other physio-chemical responses in the brain). The whole "free speech protects out right lies too" thing is hard for me to reconcile.
