  • @sthrnmuscle Hi i´m from Venezuela and originally the Arepas are from there, not from Colombia and believe me there are tons of fillings, butter is just for lazy people or when you dont to wanna cook something else. But you are right, the best ones are started in a special pan called Budare and finished in the oven. That way is more crispy. Fried is good, but is not healthy and u know this is the most basic and important food in the country, so needs to be healthy.

  • P.A.N. = Productos Alimienticios Nacionales = National Foods

it also reads as two-way word.. PAN = Bread

  • you do a good job, greettings from venezuela, if you put at the arepa, cream of milk, tuna, tomato and onion, that make a great flavor

  • NEW FAVORITE FOOD TO ME TOO

  • Arepas are done in several Spanish countries in the world including Colombia as well Venezuela, if look at the enclopedia you will find it. We made arepas also in Puerto Rico as well in Panama, Dominican Republic. This is a very popular dish and what the chef is doing is fine cause if you look at the different regions of Puerto Rico they do it fried, in the oven ect. Chef, I need to congratulate you cause you did it right and you pronounced the word right also.

  • You can shape them like "clapping" one side then the other.

  • i from venezuela and you make a relly good arepas good job

  • Hey chef John love your videos!!

  • @mrkeshalover4ever Bravo! hahaha, que desgracia!

  • @AyeSkyeTech

Not at all. They have slightly similar ingredients, but masa harina and corn flour are really not like masarepa flour and don't cook or bake alike. The texture of a cooked arepa is not at all like a tortilla. Even a fatty.

  • Trust me las arepas son el mejor desayuno

  • Jaja es gracioso ver una harina pan en ingles y que haya las consigue y aqui uno tiene que pari pa consegui una
