すごくユニークなサウンドですね。キング・コール・トリオはそれ­なりに時代を感じさせるのに、ケントン楽団のサウンドはやけにモ­ダンですね。このミスマッチがとても面白いコントラストになって­楽しませてくれますね。

1950年のこのケントン楽団はリードセクションの複雑なハーモ­ニーに特徴を置いた第１期から一休みしてブラスをパワーアップし­た頃ですね。いわゆる「うるさいケントン・バンド」（笑）

特にTpセクションにカウンターパート担当の若手、メイナード・­ファーガソンを配した効果絶大です（笑）

Kenton and Nat Cole recorded and toured together back in the early 50s.

Wow...I have heard Nat and his trio with this song many times, but did not know

he had paired up with Kenton and his orchestra on it...anyone know when and where this was recorded??? Fabulous work by two sadly long-gone jazz giants.....hope some hip yutes out there can keep this music going.
