Do you by any chance know how I could get a hold of this whole documentary? and is chimpanzee behaviour the actual name of it? I've been clips from this documentary and other chimpanzee videos for 3 months now, I am both fascinated, surprised, both sympathetic and less sympathetic towards chimps. bonobos are awsome though, love the bonobos! thanks
Did you ever see Chimpanzee Raiders (it's been pulled down from YouTube but still around)? They have a 'Raiding Party" where they beat a female close to death but kill and eat a young chimpanzee from another group. This little guy is lucky he wasn't eaten although I'm not sure he made it very long after this
What a terrible attack. Obviously the little chimp was lost, separated somehow from his own troop. By the white tuff of hair above his butt, you can tell he's still a juvenile.
Maybe thats why they stopped the attack. Who knows. A full grown adult would have been killed.
