Be careful when purchasing the SONY ECM-DS70P. This is a wonderful microphone for the price, but is being counterfeited and sold on eBay. It retails for about $50.00 USD, yet you will see it being sold on eBay for less than $10.00. The item description will often say that it comes in "bulk" or "industrialized" packaging with no instructions. The counterfeit and authentic items look almost identical, but the peformance of the authentic one is far superior in every aspect.

It sells for about €25 (35 dollars) in The Netherlands, used, ofcourse. It's well worth it.

I see, that this video is over 4 years old but anyway...

I´ve just bought this mic form buyincoins , com, a chinese shop. And it cost me less than 5 dollars with shipping :) Although I have concerns about it´s originality, I couldn´t resist the price.

Funny enough, I have exactly the same MD. And straigth away there´s a problem - mic records rotation sound of the MD itself. Do you use the mic on a calble, or do you use it on the MD directly?

is there a away to know if its counterfeit? i was going to buy one on ebay for like $6 because this is supposed to be a really good mic.. but now im scared...
