Yes the ones I use have a screen with info about which locos are running and the speed settings direction ect

DC is simple just a control box that puts more or less volts on the track so the train goes faster or slower Digital Command Control is electronic and the voltage is always the same on the track A microchip in the loco varies the voltage to the motor But more than that You can turn on lights sounds and some operating features Also points and signals all from just 2 wires connected from the control box to the track/ points,signals DCC is the way to go It is simple to wire up and easy to use

Thank you for your comment There is still lots more work to do on the scenery but it is getting there The track is all finnished now although some of it still needs ballasting and painting
